Professional secrecy and the oath (Advocacy Law)
A lawyer whose name is entered in the roll may only practise after taking the oath before the High Civil Court of Appeal, which includes keeping the secret of the profession. No lawyer may disclose a fact or information learned through the profession, even after the mandate ends, unless it is to prevent a felony or misdemeanour or to report one, and a lawyer may not be asked to testify in a dispute in which they were instructed or consulted without the client's written permission.
